Protecting our environment is essential to the health, safety, and future of every community in Wisconsin’s 3rd District. Climate change is already affecting our region; bringing heavier rains, more flooding, and worsening air quality. As your member of Congress, I will fight for clean air, safe water, healthy land, and a sustainable future for all.
My legislative priorities include:
Our public lands are central to Wisconsin’s identity; places where we hike, hunt, fish, and connect with nature. They support local economies, protect wildlife, and provide clean water. These shared spaces must be protected for everyone, not sold off for short-term profit.
Attempts to weaken protections like the Roadless Rule and open public land to large-scale development threaten these irreplaceable places. I will fight to keep public lands public; preserving access, defending conservation laws, and ensuring these areas remain healthy and open for future generations.
U.S. foreign policy must prioritize human rights, diplomacy, and global cooperation not endless wars or reckless decisions that alienate our allies.
I support:
Most gun owners in Wisconsin are responsible and traditions like hunting are important here. And we can’t ignore that guns are too often used in suicides, domestic violence, and heartbreaking tragedies I’ve seen firsthand as a mental health provider.
I’m fighting for common sense gun laws that:
We can honor responsible gun ownership and protect our loved ones at the same time because every family deserves to feel safe.
Reproductive Freedom Is Fundamental
Reproductive decisions are personal healthcare decisions, and they belong to women and their doctors not the government. We must protect every woman’s right to make decisions about her body without interference, judgment, or political obstruction.
I will fight for a future where reproductive freedom is guaranteed no matter your income, zip code, or background.
That means:
Reproductive freedom is not a single issue it’s a matter of privacy, health, equity, and dignity. I will never stop fighting to ensure that every person has the power to control their body, their future, and their life.
As a mom, a community leader, and someone who believes deeply in the power of public education, I oppose any proposal that reduces or diverts money and supports from students and public education to fund tax cuts for the wealthy.
Here’s what I’m fighting for:
Public education is what levels the playing field between families with varying means. Let’s keep it strong so all families can thrive.
We need to level the field between large farms and small/medium sized farms. Ensure small family farms have the same opportunities that large farms readily receive. We can strengthen the tie between our local farmers and local communities so farmers get predictable and fair prices and communities have access to local food. Our farmers are the greatest stewards of our land, let’s help them care for our land and water so we can all benefit from a healthy environment.
This all means:
President Trump is making things even more unaffordable with his tariffs, substantial cuts to social programs, and the destabilization of our economy.
Housing, healthcare, childcare, and food costs are rising faster than our paychecks while billionaires keep getting richer.
Working people shouldn’t pay higher tax rates than millionaires and billionaires. We must end loopholes that allow the richest people to amass their wealth. All Americans benefit from our public infrastructure (including the ultrawealthy) and everyone must pay their fair share to invest back into our communities.
I will fight for:
*I am proud to be endorsed by the Patriotic Millionaires, a group of wealthy Americans who are fighting for their wealthy peers to pay their fair share plus strong unions, and paying the people.
It’s time to build an economy that works for all of us not just the wealthy few.
Because as Paul Wellstone said: We all do better when we all do better.
Our country will be its strongest when everyone is treated equally under the law and our civil rights are upheld no matter our background, race, religion, or gender.
When I’m in Congress, I’ll fight to:
Now more than ever, our Democracy depends on fair voting practices:
At the heart of every challenge we face whether it’s health care, housing, mental health, or economic fairness is a simple truth: we are all better off when we look out for one another.
Empathy is the foundation of strong leadership. It means listening first. It means fighting for policies that lift people up not leave them behind.
That’s why I’m fighting for:
When we care for our neighbors, we build a nation where everyone can thrive.
